Barrier Reef

All the Belize cayes form the approximately 320-kilometre (200 mi) long Belize Barrier Reef, which is the longest in the Western Hemisphere and the second longest in the world after the Great Barrier Reef. The largest island of Belize Barrier Reef is Ambergris Caye, located Northeast of the country, and is a popular place for snorkeling and diving. Three of the four coral atolls in the Western Hemisphere are also located off the coast of Belize. Find out more about Belize at Belize Adventure Travel.
